Frequently Asked Questions
Not sure how this all works?
You're not alone. Here are some quick answers to the most common questions I get — and if you're still wondering about something, feel free to get in touch.
About Coaching
-
That depends on you — but common outcomes include: more clarity, better boundaries, bolder decisions, less overthinking, and feeling more like yourself again.
You might finally do the thing you’ve been circling for months — or realise you don’t want to do it after all (which can be just as freeing).
You may notice you’re calmer, clearer, and more intentional in how you show up at work and at home — with more confidence in your own judgement and values.
Warning: dreams have been known to come true — so be careful what you wish for.
Seriously though, if you’re ready to see your life change for the better (and sometimes even better than that), don’t be surprised if coaching helps make that happen.
-
No. Coaching is future-focused. We might touch on the past, but only to help you move forward.
That said, I have over 10 years’ experience as a therapist, so I’m comfortable going deeper than many coaches — when it serves the work and stays within a coaching frame.
But coaching is not therapy. It’s about insight into action and creating meaningful change in the present.
If I ever feel therapy would be a better fit, I’ll say so — and I can refer you to trusted professionals who can help.
-
No, coaching isn’t advice-giving (that’s more what a mentor might do).
My role is to ask the right questions, listen deeply, and help draw the answers out of you.
That way, the decisions you make will be rooted in your own truth — and exactly right for your situation.
-
No, that’s the difference between a coach and a mentor.
A mentor offers advice based on their own experience. A coach doesn’t need prior knowledge of your industry, because you are the expert in your world.
My role is to be deeply curious about you — to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and help draw out your best ideas and solutions.
-
That’s exactly why I offer a free taster session. For coaching to be effective, it has to feel right — for both of us.
During that conversation, we’ll explore what you’re hoping for, what’s getting in the way, and whether coaching (executive or personal development) is the right route for you.
If there’s a click, the work will be rewarding. If not, no pressure. I’ll be acting as your thinking partner, and by the end of our time together we’ll both have a clear sense of whether the chemistry is there — and which, if any, of my coaching options is the best fit.

Most of my clients begin with a three-month coaching partnership.
This gives us enough time to create real momentum, explore patterns properly, and make changes that actually stick — not just quick fixes.A three-month package is ideal if you want:
consistent support and accountability
space to get clear on bigger themes or decisions
time to build confidence, boundaries, or new habits
a structured container to help you stretch and grow
For Executive Coaching (company-sponsored or self-funded), this usually looks like 6 × 50-minute sessions, spaced across the three months, with light support between sessions. It’s focused, spacious, and intentionally designed to help you make meaningful progress.
But not everyone needs a full programme.
If you’re facing something specific and time-sensitive — a decision, a difficult situation, a moment of uncertainty, or something you just need to talk through — then short-term Personal Development Coaching may be a better fit. Often one or two focused sessions are enough to help you get clarity and move forward.
After three months, clients typically either:
feel complete and are ready to continue on their own
shift to a lighter-touch rhythm (e.g., monthly or ad-hoc check-ins)
or dip back in for short-term personal development sessions as and when life throws up something new
We’ll review together as we go. If I think you’re ready to “fly the nest”, I’ll say so — and if you’d benefit from staying a little longer, I’ll say that too.
-
Yes — I hold an ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring, and I’m a Member of the City & Guilds of London Institute (MCGI).
These qualifications are verified and blockchain-secured →, and reflect the depth, professionalism, and integrity I bring to every session.
Alongside this, I bring over a decade’s experience as a therapist, ongoing supervision for my coaching work, and a long-standing commitment to my own personal development — so you’re not doing this work alone.
Working Together
-
Yes — if you’re facing something specific and simply need clarity on a decision, situation, or next step, you can book short-term Personal Development Coaching.
Often one or two focused sessions are enough to help you reset your direction, think things through properly, or move past something you’ve been stuck on.
If it turns out you’d benefit from a longer partnership, we can talk about that — but there’s no commitment unless you want it.
-
All sessions are held on Zoom, so you can join from wherever you are. You’ll receive a private link in advance — no travel, no rushing, no tidying up required.
-
Not formal homework — but I may send over a worksheet, prompt, or reflection if I think it will genuinely help.
More importantly, I’ll keep track of the actions you commit to and support you in following through.
I use coaching software that gently reminds you of what you said you’d do — because real change comes from momentum, not just insight.
-
Yes — if you’d like them. Some people prefer to stay present and let things land naturally; others like a written summary to reflect on or track their progress.
Either way, we’ll work in the way that suits you.
-
Life happens. Just give me at least 24 hours’ notice and we’ll rebook.
No-shows or same-day cancellations may count as used sessions, but I always aim to be fair.
-
I offer two core coaching routes:
Executive Coaching (Company-Sponsored or Self-Funded)
A structured three-month partnership, usually including:
6 × 50-minute coaching sessions
Space between sessions to reflect and integrate
Light support via email / short check-ins
Notes and agreed actions
Optional resources when helpful
This is ideal if you want deeper clarity, sustainable confidence, better boundaries, or support through a period of growth or change.

Personal Development Coaching (Short-Term, Situational)
For specific moments when you don’t need a full programme.
Often one or two focused sessions are enough to help you:make a difficult decision
navigate something tricky at work or home
get clear on your next step
regulate your thinking or emotions before something important
Pricing varies depending on what you need, and we’ll discuss that after your taster session.
-
For Executive Coaching, payment is made upfront for the three-month partnership. Once payment is received, you’ll be able to book your sessions for the period ahead.
This keeps things simple, clear, and ensures your time is reserved just for you.
For short-term Personal Development Coaching, I’ll send you a link to pay once we’ve discussed what you need.
If you’re a pro bono client, there’s no payment required — just show up, do the work, and take what you need.
Referrals & Extras

Yes. I work with C-suite leaders, emerging leaders, and managers across a range of topics — from clarity and confidence to stress management, communication, and sustainable performance.
If you're exploring coaching for yourself or someone in your team, you can learn more about how I work with organisations here.
or get in touch so we can talk through your goals and see whether it’s a good fit. -
Yes, please. My business runs on referrals, so absolutely pass my name on.
If it feels like the right fit, they’re welcome to book a free taster session and we’ll see whether we click.
-
I’m not offering therapy anymore, but I know some brilliant therapists. If you’d like a recommendation, just ask.
-
I teach a simple, grounding technique called Pure Meditative Peace. It’s practical, gentle, and easy to integrate into daily life.
It’s especially helpful if you want to settle your nervous system, reduce stress, or think more clearly during periods of change or pressure.
If it feels like something you’d benefit from, I’m happy to teach it as part of our work together.
Terms of Working Together
This coaching relationship is designed to support meaningful, lasting change — and that works best when both of us show up with clarity and commitment.
You agree to:
- Show up fully to sessions (as much as you can — no perfection required).
- Take responsibility for your own choices, actions, and progress.
- Communicate clearly about your needs, availability, and any changes.
- Honour confidentiality — we both keep what’s shared private and safe.
- Pay for your coaching in advance for the package we agree together.
In return, I promise to:
- Bring presence, respect, and a clean slate to every session.
- Support you in uncovering your own answers (no generic advice here).
- Offer challenge with care, and structure without pressure.
- Hold you in high regard — even when you forget to do that for yourself.
